Sustainable Woodland management in Purbeck – Toby Hoad
February 8, 2019 @ 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm
A talk by local woodsman and furniture maker Toby Hoad who has access to some 40 acres of woodland on the Rempstone estate in north Purbeck. In a greenwood workshop set amongst the trees near Rempstone Hall Toby produces furniture and smaller items from the wood taken from the estate. He also produces charcoal and runs workshops for small groups.
Horses are used to help in tree clearance and transporting felled wood, and Toby takes his horses to sites throughout the U.K. to offer specialist services where mechanised transport is not feasible.
Free to members, non members welcome, £3 entrance.
