Cothelstone Manor, Near Taunton

September 17, 2014 - September 18, 2014

Cothelstone Manor is a Grade 11 Listed Historic House situated at the foot of the Quantock hills and dates from the early 1600’s.

Our private tour gives us an opportunity to learn about the history of the Manor and the Stawell’s who lived here from 1066 until 1792. We will see the important Grade 1 Listed gatehouse built in the early 1500’s, the grade 11 Listed Gazebo, built for the wedding of sir John Stawell 1n 1619, and the delightful church of St Thomas within the grounds.

After which we enjoy a delicious afternoon tea (included in the cost) relaxing in the galleried hall, drawing room and /or garden.

On the way we will visit Yeovill town centre for an early refreshment stop (not included in the price).

Then on to the Manor to arrive for our private visit at 2 pm.

We will leave for home at 5 pm.
