Guided tour of the Ashmolean Museum Oxford

[dropcap]F[/dropcap]ounded in 1683, the Ashmolean is Britain’s first public museum and home to the University of Oxford’s world –class collections of art and archology.
It has recently opened six new galleries for the collections of Ancient Egypt and Nubia.
The Museum is in the middle of Oxford city and on our visit we will be split into groups of 15 for an hour guided tour of some of the galleries after which we will be free to visit the rest of this extensive museum or if you so wish explore Oxford before returning to our coach.
The museum has both a separate café and rooftop restaurant and of course a shop.
We will have a comfort stop enroute at Rownhams services.
We will leave Oxford at 4.30 pm.
