Guided walk to Goathorn Point and the South shore of Poole harbour

June 12, 2019 @ 11:30 am - 4:00 pm

This walk will highlight the history and industrial past of the northern side of the Isle of Purbeck. Our guide will be Pam White, National Trust Educations officer.

The meeting place is Greenlands farm, off the Ferry road, north of Studland,  grid ref SZ 0184 – there is parking.
Pam will cover the Goathorn Penisular and quay, and give information on historical aspects of the area including the clay industry, lost local communities and industries. Her walks have proved very informative and popular on previous occasions and are highly recommended as a means of learning more about our heritage in the field.
People need to make own way, but if anyone needs, or can offer, a lift, please contact Karen Delahay on 01929 425049/07730 680579.
Although there is no official fee it is expected that those attending make a small donation in recognition of Pam’s time and knowledge.
If you are interested then please contact Karen in advance so we know who is coming and can properly plan.
