Talk: Purbeck Natural History Forum

November 14 @ 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Pnhf

14th November — The Purbeck Natural History Forum, by Jasper Iepema

The Purbeck Natural History Forum (PNHF) was established in 2022 to enable naturalists to record across the Purbeck landscape through facilitating access to multiple sites under ownership of various organisations, including private holdings. This provides naturalists with the opportunity to contribute to the understanding and management of the landscape as a whole and not a series of individual sites. By working together, and at scale, we are able to achieve so much more for nature. You can find out more about the Purbeck Natural History Forum on their website www.purbecknaturalhistory.org.uk.

JasperAbout Jasper Iepema.
Jasper Iepema is a Dutch conservationist whose work has taken him to many corners of the world, from Africa to Asia, always with a focus on protecting wildlife and supporting local communities. After meeting his wife during a conservation project in Malawi, Jasper eventually made his home in the Isle of Purbeck.

Here in Dorset, he now plays an active role in local conservation efforts and is a driving force behind the Purbeck Natural History Forum, inspiring people to discover and care for the remarkable natural heritage of the area.

Purbeck Society talks are held in the Mowlem Community Room, located in Swanage.

Talks start at 2:30pm (doors open at 2:15pm).

Talks are free to members, non-members £3.

Tea/coffee available after the talk.
