Talk: WWII at Studland – the archaeological evidence

October 11 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Talk By Pam White About World War Ii Research In Studland

Pam White will give a talk on WWII at Studland – the archaeological evidence.

Studland became one of the most important WWII battle training areas in the country with thousands of troops trained here involved in D Day. We’ve been looking at the Bankes Archive, British and Canadian war diaries and linking the information contained in them to the remains of the WWII structures at Studland. There’s an extraordinary story unfolding.

Purbeck Society talks are held in the Mowlem Community Room, located in Swanage.

Talks start at 2:30pm (doors open at 2:15pm).

Talks are free to members, non-members £3.

Tea/coffee available after the talk.
