Young smallholder and local food producer Ben Young talks about the trials and tribulations of running his small producers business Nursery Bridge Smallholding and Gourmet Goats. Free to members, non members welcome, £2 entrance.
Local mosaic artist Robert Field has produced a database of artists who have painted in the Purbeck area over the past 200 years - a list now approaching 500. The talk will highlight how the local landscape has inspired many. Free to members, non members welcome, £2 entrance.
Local author and historian Islay Cooper will talk about her recently written book about Dunshay Manor, set in the heart of Purbeck. It's history dates back to medieval stone quarrying and the Norman conquest, and there are connections to art, medicine and aircraft development. Free to members, non members welcome, £2 entrance.

A guided walk of the flower meadows south of Swanage with a specialist from the Bournemouth Society of Natural Sciences, followed by refreshments in the flower garden of a quarryman's cottage. This event will either be held on the 8th or possibly 15th August.
