Guided Walk around Swanage’s D-Day sites of interest

We will fight them on the beaches

Nick Reid has offered to lead a guided walk around Swanage, covering some of the D-Day sites of interest, including those under threat. i.e. the pillbox, search light building, dragons teeth and Peveril Point building.

As we approach the 80 anniversary of D-Day, join the Purbeck Society and local historian, Nick Reed, on a walk that will explore how Swanage prepared for the possible threat of invasion in the early 1940s. The walk will start at Sandpit Field before making its way out to Peveril Point.
