The Real Treasures are the Real Stories

This is our first event for some time, and with apologies for the late notice, we are very pleased to announce that local diver and amateur historian, Nick Reed, will be with us on Friday, 12th November. He will talk about three wartime wrecks that lie close to Swanage. Two, the Kyarra, and the Arfon, were sunk in WW1, while the Carentan was sunk in 1943.Nick, will explore the history of the vessels, their sinking and will look at the stories that his research has revealed.

We also hope to launch our Local Survey of Non-Designated Heritage Assets.

Mowlem Community Room, doors open 2pm for a 2:30pm start.
