Guided tour and picnic at Scotland Farm near Corfe this Thursday, 26th August. Our first event for some time, with apologies for the late notice !
In 2017 Reg White died after a lifetime of 72 years at Scotland Farm near Corfe as a heathland cattle farmer. The farm belongs to the National trust and the barn is currently used by a number of craftspeople and volunteers. In recognition of the National trusts heathland project, and events in late August and September, The Purbeck Society have arranged an afternoon of guided tours of the old farmhouse and the barn workshop and wheelwrights – The Isle of Purbeck’s own repair shop !
Bring your own picnic from 1pm, with small group guided tours from 2pm-3.30pm.
Donations requested to retain the workshops, and limited places available. Please call or text Karen Delahay on 07730680579 to book a place.
The farm lies on the Norden to Arne road (Hartland Heath) near Corfe.
